Andreas Rauber

is a professor at the Institute for Software Technology and Interactive Systems (ISIS) at the Vienna University of Technology (TU). In 2000, he received his doctorate in informatics at the TU. In 2001, he worked as a European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematic (ERCIM) research fellow at the National Research Council (CNR) in Pisa, Italy, followed by a research job at the National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (INRIA) in Paris, France in 2002.

n 1998, he received the Austrian Society for Artificial Intelligence (ÖGAI) prize, as well as the 2002 Cor-Baayen Award of the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics.

His research includes the vast field of digital libraries, particularly the search and navigation through large volumes of information (data analysis, information/music retrieval), data mining, as well as the long-term archivation of digital objects and understandability of processes.
