Gertraud Novotny

was born in 1975 in Eisenstadt, Austria and has lived in Vienna since 1993. After finishing her studies in history and political science at the Vienna University, she earned her master’s degree in library and information management at the Danube University of Krems. Afterward, she worked as a scientist at the Institute for Science Theory and the Vienna University. Further career stops included the library of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and Klosterneuburg Monastery. Since 2007, she has worked at the Vienna University of Economics and Business library and has dedicated herself to the topics of electronic publication and open access. Since 2009, she has led the institutional repository ePubWU of the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). As a subject expert, she is responsible for inventory management in the subject areas of commercial and social history and politology.
