Barbara Sánchez Solís

earned her degree in English and comparative literature, and went on to collect years of experience in the media and communications industry, where she worked as an accounts manager responsible for large national and international clients. In 2013, after finishing her education degree in library and information studies, she led the study „Factors for Enabling Sharing and Reuse of Research Data” on the topic of research data, which was part of the EU project OpenAIRE. Since 2014, she has been the coordinator of the Austria-wide, Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) funded project, e-infrastructures Austria, which pursues the establishment of repositories across Austria and the secure archivation and provision of electronic resources in research and academia. Furthermore, she is part of the European H2020 project LEARN (LEaders Activating Research Networks), which deals with consciousness of research data management and policies in academic institutions. Sánchez Solís has made the topics of research data, research data management and data management plans her specialty. On these topics, she remains in constant dialogue with other European initiatives.
