Seyavash Amini

is the founder and legal advisor of a corporate consulting firm specializing in intellectual property management. He also teaches at the Vienna and Hannover Universities. For years, he has worked as a consultant for the Vienna University Library in the areas of intellectual property, media and data protection law. Specifically, he provides legal support to the library direction in the use of information and communication technologies. Previously, he worked at the Center for Teaching and Learning and at the Institute for Information Law at the Vienna University, where he worked on a high-profile legal opinion, some of whose results were added to the most current Austrian copyright laws. He also earned a doctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich, where he researched legal questions in a digital context and finished his doctoral dissertation on the topic, „Digital Culture as a Package Deal – Motive, Content and Limitations of a Vision for the Copyright Laws of the Future.“
